Anzac Day 2015

Anzac Day 2015

The children were engaged in a variety of Anzac Day themed activities, in honour of the 100 year Anzac celebration tomorrow, April 25th.

We had Australian music playing during activity time, the Koalas had a hands on group time discussion about the meaning of Anzac Day and were able to try on a hat and take a closer look at a "Rashen Pack". The Wombat children got some great family input about various family members who served in the Defence Force. We would like to say a big "Thank You" to Sam's grandmother Judy, who was kind enough to donate her time and share lot's of amazing stories and photos of her time served. The Bilbies made yummy Anzac biscuits and the Possums liked hiding in the Camo coloured cubby house, dressing up in Army dress ups and eating yummy Anzac biscuits for afternoon tea.........Yummy.

Throughout the day the children where reminded of the importance of this special day and the ultimate sacrifice made by many.
